Meeting of the Fulton County Commissioners Tuesday, May 11, 2021 8:30 a.m. at the Commissioners' Office Present: Commissioner Ulsh, commissioner Bunch and Commissioner Shives Absent: None Others Present: Cassidy Pittman Chairman Ulsh opened the meeting with a moment of silent prayer and reçited the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Motion by Commissioner Shives to approve the minutes of the May 4, 2021 meeting. All in favor. Motion by Commissioner Bunch to approve the accounts payable dated May 7, 2021 in the amount of $118,522.08. All in favor. Hess advertised a drawing and coloring contest for children between the ages of 5 and 11. The children were asked to draw a picture that may include their home and yard, their home and family members or things they see that make them happy at home. The Commissioners met with Garrett McCarty, Blakely Cromer, Raelyn Faith and Hayden Kalash and presented them with their prizes from the contest. The participants were thanked for participating in this contest. Motion by Commissioner Shives to approve endorsement to Certification Statement for the Children & Youth Services program for the period of 1-1-21 to 3-31-21. All in favor. As a part of their Support of May being designated as Mental Health Month, the Commissioners met with Cori Seilhamer- Franklin/Fulton Drug & Alcohol; Jen Harper-TMVA; Erin Nye-MH/IDD/EI and Julia Dovey, FCFP. Motion by Commissioner Shives to adopt a Proclamation Supporting May as Mental Health Month. All in favor. The Commissioners met with Brad Seville, Director of Building & Grounds and Logan Crouse regarding Building and Grounds Matters. The Commissioners met with. Justin Evans, Planning Director regarding recycle matters. Motion by Commissioner Ulsh to authorize endorsement to the Sub-recipient Agreement between the County of Fulton and Todd Township as they are receiving a portion oft the FY 2017 CDBG funds in the amount of $11,500 for the purpose of utilizing these fundst for an. Act 537 Plan. All in favor. Motion by Commissioner Shives to permit additional days: Sunday May 16th and Sunday May 30th to the McConnell Park Lease Agreement between the County of Fulton and MUMC as long as no one else requests those days. All in favor. Motion by Commissioner Bunch to approve the Application for Burial Expenses of a Deceased Service Person, Mr. Charles Martin Clark in the amount of $100. All in favor. Motion by Commissioner Ulsh to Enter Executive Session at. 9:20 a.m. to meet with Solicitor Stein. All in favor. No action was taken.
