Becky Ferrell seconded and the motion passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS 2. Teresa Grady, Chief Operating Officer, gave those present a tour of the building and informed us of the many programs that benefit the citizens in our area. She explained how people qualify for assistance, how the programs work, how they're funded, how the volunteers are used, and many other pieces of information. All agreed that the entire operation is quite impressive. OLD BUSINESS BOARD MEMBER UPDATES 3. Board member updates Becky Ferrell updated the members regarding the survey that Patty Blum has been working on in order to get feedback from area seniors. She passed out the survey as it is now and hopes to have an updated version at the next meeting. Patty asked that this item be added to the agenda for the June meeting. Becky Ferrell also mentioned that she left brochures of service providers to those that attended the session at the Activity Center with the city manager. There seemed to be interest in those that took one. It is suggested that these be left at some of the other activities for the seniors to take and use. Ida Powell provided Christina Schlueter with a point of contact in HEB ISD that could assist with the reading with seniors initiative. Lucy Snearley has been in contact with Councilman Steve Farco regarding helping seniors with home repairs and construction. He has some ideas as to how the board can assist and has agreed to come to one of our meetings to discuss it. NEXT MEETING 4.
