The City Council of the City of Princeton, Texas, met in Special Session on May 9, 2025, at 7:30 a.m. in the City Council Chamber at the Municipal Center, located at 2000 E. Princeton Dr. Princeton, Texas 75407. The following City Councilmembers were present: Mayor Pro Tempore Steven Deffibaugh, Councilmember Terrance Johnson, Councilmember Ben Long, Councilmember Cristina Todd, and Councilmember Carolyn David-Graves. The following City Councilmembers were absent: Councilmember Ryan Gerfers, Councilmember Bryan Washington. Tommy Mapp, Director of Public Works, discussed the proposed infrastructure upgrades and potential traffic flow adjustments. Fred Gibbs, Assistant City Manager, addressed zoning compliance and long- term development goals. Sergeant Trim and Sergeant Crawford, Police Department, jointly presented Potential Al Solutions for the Police Department, including Al-assisted body camera review, automated reporting and case tracking tools, and smart glasses for real-time field support and evidence capture. Erin Mudie, Director of Marketing and Communications, presented Al solutions for service requests, two-way surveys, public sentiment analysis, and engagement dashboards. Peter James, Interim CFO, presented Al solutions for transaction analysis, risk detection, and improved financial transparency. Fire Chief Stephens presented a 24/7 Al tool that helps optimize fire station locations by analyzing data, while a tethered drone provides continuous aerial support without the need for a licensed operator. Rick Irvine, Director of Information Technology, presented three cybersecurity tools that enhance threat detection, automate responses, and improve decision-making for city systems.
