City of Oak Ridge Kaufman County, Texas City Council Meeting Minutes May 12, 2025 at 6:00 PM Item 1 Call to Order Meeting was called to order by Mayor Paul Hullar Mayor at 6:01 PM. Present were Mayor Pro Tem Jimmy Quick and Council Members, Janelle Davis, Scherri Holmes, Nena Langford, and Rolando Guzman. Chief Bill Weatherly and City Secretary Karen Stacey were also in attendance. Item 2 Citizen Input No input was given at this time. Item 3 Update on Court Activities of April 2025 - (Skyler Walker) Update on court activities were to include, % day court will be held on May 14, 2025. There are 74 cases on the docket, and 2 bench trials. There will be another %2 day court in June. Warrants collected through MVBA $3225.62 and TPG $5559.08 Item 4 Discuss, Consider, Action to Approve Minutes of April 28, 2025 Council Meeting Motion was made by Scherri Holmes and seconded by Janelle Davis to approve City Council Minutes of April 28, 2025. All others being in favor, motion carried. Item 5 Discuss, Consider, Action to Approve Payment of May 12, 2025 Bills/Invoices Motion was made by Janelle Davis and seconded by Rolando Guzman to approve Bills/Invoices of May 12, 2025. All others being in favor, motion carried. Item 6 Discussion on Police Department 5 Year Plan = Chief, Bill Weatherly Chief Bill Weatherly presented a power point display of the advances and program to span the next 5 years for the Oak Ridge Police Department. Item 7 Discussion on Code Enforcement - (Donnie Spradlin) Donnie Will be on vacation week of the 19th SO Jimmy will do any cement inspections. Property owner's tree on City fence will be told that we can't use taxpayer funds to remove and it is still the property owner's responsibility. Pool on White Oak will need two fences. Item 8 Discuss on Roads Still waiting on approval from Texas Bit for payment of unapproved final invoice requirements. Riverside still need to fix road by construction trailer where asphalt meets concrete. Item 9 Discussion on Development None. Karen will look up the signs. 18 Mayors in Kaufman County will meet on Thursday in Terrell.
