Review of Proposed Ordinance No. 1595: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF EPHRATA, LANCASTER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, CHAPTER 319, ZONING TO PERMIT WINTER SHELTERS AS AN ACCESSORY USE IN CERTAIN ZONING DISTRICTS, SUBJECT TO THE REQUIREMENTS CONTAINED HEREIN, AND TO DEFINE RELATED TERMS, AND TO DEFINE THE ZONING DISTRICTS WHERE TWO-FAMILY DWELLINGS ARE PERMITTED The proposed ordinance amends Chapter 319, Zoning, of the Code of the Borough of Ephrata to define and adopt standards for Winter Shelters; to alter the table of allowed uses in residential districts and nonresidential districts to define the zoning districts where Winter Shelters and Two-Family Dwellings are permitted; to remove provisions relating to temporary accessory extreme cold weather emergency shelters from the table of allowed uses, and to provide when this ordinance shall be effective.
