Carter Jr., Kerry Hetherington, and Cristy Lenski. (Council Member Gretchen Schulz was absent.) Also present City Manager Matthew Pepper, Assistant City Manager Mercy Montgomery, City Attorney Jay Crowley with Powell and Crowley, Chief Greg Perry, Captain John Tainter, Code Enforcement Officer Johnny Greene, Planning and Development Director Jason Thompson, Public Information Officer Brian Arrington, and City Clerk Melisa Arnold. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Bender called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. REVIEW REGULAR BUSINESS MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA ITEMS The agenda was reviewed. During review oft the public hearing item Planning Director Thompson handed out the new site plan for LUP 24-02 RZ 24-04 and went over the changes from the old site plan to the newest one. Discussion was held on the proposed conditions for the new plan dated March 21, 2025. REVIEW CORRESPONDENCE Mayor Bender shared event information for April 19th with the Council. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT None DISCUSSION ITEMS Discussion About The Grove [Warner] Mayor Pro Tem Warner talked about concerns at The Grove regarding the parking deck and more cameras. City Manager Pepper said the parking deck issues are ongoing and they are continuing to be addressed. After further discussion consensus was to explore adding cameras in The Grove area. Update of Ongoing Projects Bender] City Manager Pepper gave an update on The Grove projects. He said that Crooked Can is expecting to open in late June, Parkside District has begun their interior buildout and the Taqueria is in the City's permit process now. Consensus was that Director Thompson would email one oft the requests to them for review and further discussion. City Manager Pepper announced that construction would start on the new Community Center on May 5, 2025 and that there is a pre-construction meeting this week for the North Road and Wisteria Drive intersection improvement.
