CITY OF RAGER CALLED MEETING MINUTES A Called Meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Ranger, Texas, was held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 5:30 pm. in City Hall, 400 West Main Street Ranger, Texas. The following subjects were discussed, to wit: Council Members and City Staff Present: Commissioner Vicki Doyle Place 1 Commissioner Jim McCullough Place 2 Commissioner Robert Butler Place 3 Interim City Manager Lambert Little Agenda Item 01: Call to Order- Mayor Archer Although there was not an agenda item for this, there was a citizen signed up to speak. Mayor Archer made the decision to allow him to do sO, however he was not in attendance at the time. Roll Call/Quorum Check-Interim City Manager Lambert Little Agenda Item 02: Discuss/Consider: Retire into Executive Session pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.071 Consultation with Attorney regarding: Future contracts with the City of Ranger Allegations against City conduct with RAMF Available future actions with the Ranger Airfield. Retired into Executive Session at 17:32 Agenda Item 03: Discuss/Consider: Reconvene into Open Session to take action as determined appropriate regarding Government Code 551.071 Consultations with Attorney regarding: Future contracts with the City of Ranger Allegations against City conduct with RAMF Available future actions with the Ranger Airfield Reconvened into Open Session at 18:38. Buenger and Associates stated that on future contracts the city can waive immunity as it relates to a contract. There is other language that can be included to protect the city's interests. No action taken. CITY OF RANGER COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES, MAY 2, 2025 CONTINUED The city has the authority to investigate. Information related to this will be provided to our legal counsel to review SO they can provide a recommendation to the commission on how to move forward. Motion made by Commissioner Butler to move forward with the investigation. Seconded by Commissioner Doyle. Motion Passed Regarding future options with the Ranger Airfield, we can have open meetings as we move forward if both sides agree, and potentially hold townhalls. The city can hold executive sessions as it relates to Economic Development. No action taken.
