MINUTES OF COMMISSIONERS COURT March 10. 2025 Be it remembered that on March 10, 2025, the Honorable Commissioners Court met in Regular Session with these members present, to-wit: County Judge Kevin Brendle. Commissioners, Dennis Wyatt, Precinct #1; Mike Smith, Precinct #2; Chris Horn, Precinct #3; Greg Arnold, Precinct #4; Danay Carnes, County Clerk and Brandi Abbott, Treasurer. The meeting was called to order at 9:05 a.m. by County Judge, Kevin Brendle. The meeting opened with a prayer by Chris Horn, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag and the Texas Flag. Whereupon the following business was transacted and is now placed of record in the minutes of said Court: The following Consent Agenda Items were submitted to the court for approval: Minutes ofthe February 10, and February 20, 2025, Commissioners Court meeting were reviewed. Sheriff. Jay Allen presented the Sheriff's Department report. Stella Carter, J.P. presented the Justice ofthe Peace report. Rhonda Brendle, Tax Assessor Collector presented the Tax report. Danay Carnes, County and District Clerk presented the Clerk's report. Brandi Abbott, County Treasurer presented the Treasurer's report. Kasey Osborn, presented a TxDot report. Matt Hindman, presented the EMC report. County Commissioners reported on road conditions in their precincts. Approved the cost for a new windshield for a Caterpillar loader that mya exceed the County Spending Policy. Approved the cost oftwo new windows for a Cat Loader that may exceed the County Spending Policy. Approved cost ofa pallet of DEF for Precinct 1 & 2. Greg Arnold made the motion to approve the Consent Agenda Items as submitted. Dennis Wyatt second the motion. Motion passed unanimously. Action Agenda 1. No Public comment. 2. David Copeland of Bolinger, Segars, Gilbert and Moss LLP game 2024 Audit Report. Mike Smith made a motion to approve the 2024 Audit Report. Chris Horn second them motion. Motion passed unanimously. 3. On a motion made by Dennis Wyatt and second by Mike Smith the court voted unanimously to approve the cost to stabilize Courthouse Interior Foundation from bid from WestTech and Horizon engineering not to exceed $15,000. 4. Greg Arnold made a motion to approve the County Attorney applying for the Victim Coordinator Grant offered by Office ofthe Attorney General. Chris Horn second the motion. Motion passed unanimously. 5. Greg Arnold made a motion to cancel contract with Anthony Mechanical. Mike Smith second them motion. Motion passed unanimously. 6. Chris Horn second the motion. motion passed unanimously. 8. Greg Arnold made a motion to approve Resolution in support of SB 1377/HB 3000 Rural Ambulance Service Grant. Dennis Wyatt second the motion. Motion passed unanimously. 9. Commissioner's Court discussed the 2024 Routine Off System Bridge Inspection Reports. 10. On a motion made by Dennis Wyatt and second by Greg Arnold the court voted unanimously to approve agreement with Jarvis Metal Recycling at the roll of site. 11. Commissioner's Court discussed update in notification regarding random drug testing of CDL holders. 12. Mike Smith made a motion to approve Rules of Procedure, Conduct and Decorum at Meeting ofthe County Commissioners Court. Chris Horn second the motion. Motion passed unanimously. * Motion was made by Mike Smith and seconded by Greg Arnold to approve action on claims incurred against the county since the last Commissioner' s Court. Motion passed unanimously. * Motion to pay Historical Commission bills was made by Mike Smith and seconded by Chris Horn. Motion passed unanimously. * No line item transfers. * No budget amendments.
