Roll Call: Done by Naomi Castro District 4 Members Present: Carmen Byers, Lucio Glenn, Dr. Karen Cynthia Boyar Trejo Herman, Rodolfo Mariscal, Laura Valdez, and Sebastian Escobar- Garcia. District 5 Ivan Nino Members Absent: Patrick Hemnandez-Cigaruisi, Claudia Ley, Charles Mais, and Winters. District 6 Darby Art Fierro Consecutive Absences: Darby Winters District 7 Others Present: Claudia Cardoza, Miriam Garcia, Adrian Guzman, Lily Limon Naomi Castro, and Jesus Quintanilla. District 8 3. Public Comment: None at this time. Chris Canales 4. Approval of Minutes: Laura Valdez called for a motion to approve the minutes from the February 11, 2025 PAC meeting. Dr. Karen Herman CITY MANAGER made a motion to approve, and Lucio Glenn seconded the motion. All Dionne Mack members voted in favor; no one opposed. Motion Passed. 5. Discussion and Action on Final Design for Fire Station 38: Adrian Guzman introduced Item #2. Adrian Guzman requested a motion to push item # 2 to next month's meeting; Lucio Glenn made motion to move item # 2 to next month's meeting, and Carmen Byers seconded the motion. All members voted in favor; no one opposed. Motion Passed. 6. Discussion and Action on Artist Selection for Mural for Special Teams Consolidation (Fire Stations 1,9,11): Adrian Guzman introduced item # 3. Adrian Guzman gave a brief description and explanation on Request for Proposal for this project. Johnson Tavakoli's rendering and proposal. Adrian Guzman reminded the PAC that they are only approving the artist selected for this project and explained that the artist would be working with the Fire Department and stakeholders, CITY COUNCIL SO changes are to be expected to the Final Design before presenting it to PAC for approval. A discussion was held with questions and concerns District 1 Alejandra Chavez answered. Laura Valdez asked for motion; Carmen Byers made motion to approve, Dr. Karen Herman seconded the motion.
