Discussion and possible action on a date for an Advisory Board Town hall meet and greet at the Bedford Senior Activity Center It was agreed that there can be days set aside for Advisory Board Members to meet people in the lobby and answer questions. Janell will need to schedule these days according to building usage. It was agreed this format would be more successful than having one large town hall meeting. It would also be a good idea for board members to attend some of the scheduled educational events in order to answer questions and listen to concerns and report back for possible action. It was recommended that a survey be developed to hear the concerns of needs of the Bedford seniors. BOARD MEMBER UPDATES 4. Board member updates Ida Powell is working with Michael Wells, city secretary, on getting data on the senior residents of Bedford. It would be helpful to identify some ofthe needs. Christina Schlueter has talked to the nearby elementary school principal regarding partnering with seniors and students for reading. She will continue to try to coordinate and make plans. Patty Blum talked to 6 Stones about food for needy seniors. Seniors can fill out an application and be given what they need for their household. She will get some literature to put in the lobby of the senior center. NEXT MEETING 5. The next Scheduled meeting of the Senior Advisory Board will be on April 7, 2025.
