A public hearing was conducted. Mr:. Adam Rozen, Esq. represented the applicant. He explained that due to a 19-month lapse oflicensing, grandfathered, non-conformities werej forfeited. The business has operated for more than 15 years with licensing renewed annually. The lapse was an unintentional erron Mr: Rozen asked that the variance pertaining to setbacks be removed, from the request as the applicant did not intend to make any changes to the current state ofthe property. There was no opposition or support presented. Board. members asked questions regarding the existing Brokerage License. Mr: Rozen explained, the license had been obtained as a provision to process abandoned vehicles only. He added that the applicant would agree with. staff recommendation to eliminate brokerage licensing associated with the property ifrequired to do SO. Board members askedfor clarification ofthe request to remove the setback variance. Mr: Rozen responded. satisfactorily to the query. Ward 5A. Ms. Little introduced the case V2025-03. A public hearing was conducted. Mr: Kevin Moore, Esq. represented the applicant. He explained that Avis Budget Car Rental had been operating at a location across the. street but wereforced to relocate due to redevelopment. They intended to move t0 the proposed site to maintain close proximity and retain established clientele. Mr: Moore emphasized the location was an 'off airport location' according to Avis which does not allow overnight drop-offs. He added that compliance with the code limiting the number ofcars allowed in a retail shopping center for car rental services to 20 would be more than sufficient and that marking designated parking spaces was agreeable. No opposition or support was presented. Board members discussed the request. With no, further comments or questions the public hearing was closed. A motion was made by Ms. Carmichael, seconded by Mr Maloney, 10 approve the requested variance with stipulation, as granting the application will nol be detrimental or injurious to property or improvements in the vicinity ofthe development site, or to the public health, safety, or, general welfare.
