Walking through the cemetery offers the chance to reflect on the lives represented by each gravesite. Each person interred has a unique story. Some left many records of their families and earthly accomplishments, with descendants still living in the Llano area, while others rest in obscurity with no known descendants. Llano is the town it is today because of the efforts of shop keepers, farmers, stockmen, merchants, teachers, doctors, fathers and mothers, children, elected officials, and many other types of people who lived and died here. The cemetery tour will focus on a few of these individuals. Sites visited will be: Richard Fishbeck, 1886-1943, portrayed by Jeff Scoggins W. J. However, if customers are still around, we will keep the store open. We have several vendors planning to attend, several of which will have outdoor booths for product demonstration (OK Steel - fence stretching; Stihl - power equipment demo; Spyder saw/blade/bit demo, etc.) We will offer product specials and raffles (grills, knives, chairs, ammo, etc.) and have a craft section for children to build and paint birdhouses. We will also be grilling food. The outdoor vendors will likely need to park their trailers on Berry Street, and we may have the children's activity in our conference room by the Lantex. Given customers and kids may be walking in the area, I believe closure would be safest with limited impact on the community as people can still exit onto Haynie off the Bridge and turn onto Wright Street.
