- o/ - RYLANP Town of Williamsport Mayor & Town Council Regular Session Meeting Minutes = October 7, 2024 On October 7, 2024, the Mayor & Town Council for the Town of Williamsport held a Regular Session. Those members of the elected body who were present included Mayor William Green, Assistant Mayor Dennis Grove, Councilman Jim Braswell, Councilman Charles Brown, Councilman Earle Pereschuk, and Councilperson Margaret Yaukey. Town employees in attendance were Chad Rooney, Town Manager, and Ed Kuczynski, Town Attorney. Mayor Green called the meeting to order at 6:00pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Green then asked for a motion to approve the minutes for the September 16, 2024, Regular Session. Assistant Mayor Grove made a motion to approve the minutes as presented; Councilman Brown seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Mayor Green noted there is no Correspondence. Mayor Green identified no reports were presented by the Board of Election Supervisors, History & Museum Board, Land Use, Legal Counsel, Planning Commission, nor the Sheriff's Office. The Board of Zoning Appeals had one appeal for a tattoo parlor which was approved. Councilperson Yaukey noted the Planning Commission had no meeting during the month, there are several properties being rehabilitate, and Ruth's Market will be opening soon. Councilman Pereschuk and Assistant Mayor Grove had no report. Councilman Brown announced a successful Harvest Hoedown event. Councilman Braswell noted trick or treat safety is paramount and fall clean up is on Saturday October 19th. Mayor Green noted no further action has been taken for the Municipal Electric Utility Alliance at this time. Mayor Green introduced the idea to offer the Springfield Barn to the Williamsport Community Band use of the barn on days when there is not a rental. There was a desire to allow the use as historically has been done by the Mayor and Town Council. Resident Karen Hendricks provided her concerns regarding her neighbor's weeds, groundhogs, lack ofmowing, and water bill increases. Following a lengthy and specifically descriptive outline ofher concerns, the Mayor and Town Council deferred follow up to the Town Manager who will complete a site visit soon.
