Town of Williamsport Mayor & Town Council Regular Session Meeting Minutes February 10, 2025 On February, 2025, the Mayor & Town Council for the Town of Williamsport held a Regular Session. Those members of the elected body who were present included Mayor William Green, Assistant Mayor Dennis Grove, Councilman Jim Braswell, Councilman Charles Brown, Councilman Earle Pereschuk, Councilman Tinsley, and Councilperson Margaret Yaukey. Town employees in attendance were Chad Rooney, Town Manager, and Ed Kuczynski, Town Attorney. The meeting was held in the Oth Holland Event & Banquet Hall at the Williamsport Volunteer Fire & EMS building. Mayor Green called the meeting to order at 6:00pm and requested everyone observe a moment of silent reflection. The Mayor then led the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Green requested the presence of those in attendance on behalf of the Williamsport Volunteer Fire & EMS to join him at the front of the dias. Mayor Green then presented the representatives with an honorary check for $100,000.00 donated to the department by vote ofthe Mayor and Town Council to be used for expenses incurred to rebuild their ambulance for service in the community. Mayor Green requested a motion to approve the minutes ofthe January 13, 2024, Regular Session. Councilman Tinsley made a motion to approve the minutes as presented; Councilman Pereschuk seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Mayor Green requested a motion to approve the minutes ofthe January 15, 2024, Special Session. Councilman Braswell made a motion to approve the minutes as presented; Assistant Mayor Grove seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Mayor Green noted the Town Election will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 7am to 7pm. Mayor Green read aloud the report of calls by Deputy Logdson ofthe Washington County Sheriff's Office (attached to these minutes). The Town Attorney noted an upcoming Borad ofZoning Appeals meeting and the ongoing work of the Planning Commission to complete an update to the Comprehensive Plan. Councilperson Yaukey, Councilman Pereschuk, Councilman Tinsley, nor Assistant Mayor Grove had ai report. Councilman Brown explained how nice he felt thel lights in the park during Christmas were and the donation to the fire department. Councilman Braswell noted his appreciateion for the response of the town's Public Works employees to winter weather. Will Ball, a former Fire Chief for the Williamsport Volunteer Fire & EMS, offered his appreciation for the donation made to the department and offered the Mayor and Town Councilmembers a tour of the facility if they desired following adjournment. Mayor Green asked for a motion to adjourn. Councilman Tinsley made a motion to adjourn the Regular Session; Councilman Pereschuk seconded; the meeting was adjourned at 6:11pm.
