Town of Williamsport Mayor & Town Council Regular Session Meeting Minutes January 13, 2025 On January 13, 2025, the Mayor & Town Council for the Town of Williamsport held a Regular Session. Those members of the elected body who were present included Mayor William Green, Assistant Mayor Dennis Grove, Councilman Jim Braswell, Councilman Charles Brown, Councilman Earle Pereschuk, Councilman Tinsley, and Councilperson Margaret Yaukey. Town employees in attendance were Chad Rooney, Town Manager, Linda Kuczynski, Town Planner, and Ed Kuczynski, Town Attorney. Mayor Green called the meeting to order at 6:00pm and requested everyone to observe a moment ofs silent reflection. The Mayor then led the meeting in the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Green requested a motion to approve the minutes of the December 9, 2024, Regular Session. Councilman Tinsley made a motion to approve the minutes as presented; Councilman Braswell seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Mayor Green requested a motion to approve the minutes of the January 7, 2025, Work Session. Assistant Mayor Grove made a motion to approve the minutes as presented; Councilman Tinsley seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Mayor Green requested a motion to approve the minutes ofthe January 7, 2025, Special Session. Councilman Tinsley made a motion to approve the minutes as presented; Councilman Pereschuk seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Mayor Green requested a motion to approve the minutes ofthe January 7, 2025, Executive Session. Councilman Brown made a motion to approve the minutes as presented; Assistant Mayor Grove seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Mayor Green noted no report from Land Use, the Planning Commission or Town Attorney. The Town Planner noted an advertisement was in the newspaper today and again next week for the upcoming election and handed out a flyer soliciting residents to complete a survey as part ofthe comprehensive plan update. Mayor Green read aloud the report of calls by Deputy Logdson ofthe Washington County Sheriff's Office (attached to these minutes). Councilperson Yaukey, Councilman Pereschuk, Councilman Tinsley, nor Councilman Braswell had a report. Councilman Brown explained a video of a town in Pennsylvania which advertised their Christmas lights and how this would be a nice feature for Williamsport. Assistant Mayor Grove thanked the Mayor and Public Works crew for their urgency in clearing the streets following the previous Monday's winter; the dais agreed it was a great response and passed on their appreciation. Mayor Green asked Councilman Pereschuk to schedule a meeting with him and the Town Manager to discuss pool operations. Mayor Green explained there is no Old Business and asked for a motion to approve the request from Jimmy Black to hold car shows in Bryon Park during the warmer months. Councilman Braswell motioned to approve the list of events as presented; Councilman Brown seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Mayor Green asked for a motion to approve line dancing in the Springfield Barn as presented; Assistant Mayor Grove motioned to approve the request as presented; Councilman Pereschuk seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Mayor Green asked for a motion to adjourn. Assistant Mayor Grove made a motion to adjourn the Regular Session; Councilman Tinsley seconded; the meeting was adjourned at 6:10pm.
