Historical Interpreter I, Somerset Place State Historic Site Apr 2018 = Sep 2022 B.A. in History, UNC Chapel Hill, Frank Jaklic- Involved with historic buildings and their preservation, renovating, relocation and identification since college days in Ohio. In Hertford, purchased 401 N Church St. and converted to original single family dwelling with original window layout and many original details, and restored guest cottage behind it. Restored 127 N Church saving historic design elements including front and rear facades to original window and door configuration. Restored 405 N Church St using many historical artifacts from 1928 S-Bridge. Christopher Stoessner- Served on the Kill Devil Hills Historic Landmark Commission; Guild of Colonial Artisans & Tradesmen; and Jamestown Society. Hands on and self-taught old house restorer/enthusiast: former owner of Decatur Street Antiques Gerald Mimlitsch- In 2003 started Historic Downtown Raleigh. Led the team until 2008 in restoring and maintaining historic homes. Taught the value of preserving older homes and helped direct builders to purchase materials to keep the structures true to age. A Hertford homeowner restoring my own historic home in the Town. James Sidney Eley- Former elected official and served as chairperson of The Main Street Program. While serving as the Director of the Chamber of Commerce created the Jim "Catfish" Hunter Museum. A knowledgeable source of Hertford's history and currently operates the Perquimans County Museum.
