City of Mertzon City Council Meeting Minutes March 3, 2025 Regular City Council Meeting Those Present: Mayor:Aubrey Stewart Council Members: Employees: Danny Crutchfield Michele Rabenaldt, City Administrator Mayor Pro-Tem: Randy Councilman Gus Pardo, Operations Jayton Lindley Daniel Harper Natalio Padilla, Admin Assistant Brittany Chappell, Admin Assistant The meeting was called to order at 6:32 p.m. by Mayor Aubrey Stewart, with quorum present. Opening prayer was given by Councilman Crutchfield. Pledge of Allegiance and Salute to the Texas Flag were recited by all in attendance. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None 23/24 BUDGET WORKSHOPICONTINGENCY SPENDING: Councilman Lindley made a motion to approve the following spending limits from contingency money remaining in the 23/24 General Fund Budget: $74,850.45 to be paid to the Prosperity Bank Note fort the Robertson Well and New Effluent Pond projects, $10,000.00 to purchase a grade all, $10,000.00 for drainage pipes, $5,000.00 for a manlift, $2,200.00 for 2 utility beds for trucks, $3,000.00 for a grapple bucket for the skid steer and $3,000.00 for a rock bucket for the skid steer. Councilman Harper seconded. All in favor. Motion passed. PRIOR MEETING: MINUTES: Councilman Councilman made a motion to accept minutes as written for January 6, 2025, January 27, 2025 and February 24, 2025. Councilman Lindley seconded. All in favor. Motion passed. FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS: Councilman Harper made a motion to approve all financial documents. Councilman Crutchfield seconded. All in favor, motion passed. DAILY OPERATIONS UPDATE: Information presented by Operations Supervisor Gus Pardo 1. Fix water leak at 205 E. Oak. Avenue. 2. Changed out 1 % in meter with % in meter at 123 N. Broadway. 3. Worked on Spring St from Hwy 67 to NW Railroad. 10. Worked on backhoe. 11. Caught loose dog. 12. Cleaned dog kennel and dog run, 13. Fixed shop heater. 14. Worked on tires. 15. Hauled trash at the creek. ITEMS FROM COUNCIL: Look at lease options for fleet vehiçles, get trade in values and prices for new John Deere tractor.
