Main Street Pursuant to Section 551 of the Texas Government Code, notice is hereby given of a Regular Meeting of the Building & Standards Commission Board to be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 06:00 PM located at Hutchins City Hall Council Chambers, 321 N. Main Street, Hutchins, Texas, at which time the following items will be discussed and considered. A. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM PRESENT Vice Chair, A. Rodriguez called the meeting to order at 6:22 PM and announced a quorum. Present Absent A. Rodriguez L. Odom E. Hudson K. Diaz G. Wadley D. Francis T. Sims-Rogers S. Lindsay T. Ayala B. INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE E. Hudson led the invocation, and G. Wadley led the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. CITIZEN COMMENTS = None D. CONSENT AGENDA - All items presented in the Consent Agenda require no deliberation by the Board. Each Board member has the opportunity of removing an item from this agenda sO that it may be considered separately. 2. Approval of Minutes from February 11, 2025. T. Sims-Rogers motioned to approve the minutes from February 11, 2025, and E. Hudson seconded the motion. All in favor, motion passed. Voting Yea: A. Rodriguez, E. Hudson, G. Wadley, and T. Sims-Rogers. Voting Nay: 0 E. PRESENTATIONS 3. Discuss Arbor Day, March 22, 2025. 3 Section D, Itemi. W. Randle announced the approved locations for tree planting as designated by public works, along with the number of trees to be planted at each site. At Campbell Park, 15 peach trees will be planted, and at MLK. Park, 5 peach trees will be planted. All board members and volunteers are scheduled to meet at Campbell Park at 8:30 AM, where they will be divided into two groups for the planting activities. W. Randle also reminded the board that the deadline to sign up to volunteer is March 13, 2025, and that waivers must be signed by anyone under the age of 18. T-Rogers recommended that a link for volunteers to sign up be created. W. Randle advised that she would research the possibility of having a platform for volunteers to sign up. 4. Discuss Community Clean up, April 12, 2025. W. Randle announced that The Great American Clean Up will begin at 8:00 AM. The initiative will start at the City entry from Dowdy Ferry Road, proceed up Palestine, and split into both sides of Main. F. REGULAR AGENDA - As authorized by Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, the Board reserves the right to convene in Executive Session fort the purpose of seeking confidential legal advice from the City Attorney on any agenda item listed herein. 5. Discuss and Consider KHB Logo. T. Sims-Rogers motioned to approve the new logo; G. Wadley seconded the motion. All in favor, motion passed. Voting Yea: A. Rodriguez, E. Hudson, G. Wadley, and T.
