City of Beasley MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING TUESDAY - February 13, 2025 - 6:30 P.M. BEASLEY CITY HALL 319 SOUTH 3RD ST., BEASLEY, TX 77417 Call to Order: Mayor Kenneth Reid called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Roll Call: Cary Lamensky was absent from the meeting. Carolyn Sabrsula, Douglas Harris, Yvonne Meyer, and John Morgan were all present. Approve minutes from meeting: Yvonne Meyer made the motion to approve the meeting minutes as presented. John Morgan seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mayor Announcements: Our water well bid is finalized now. WW Peyton Corporation was awarded the bid. OLD BUSINESS = None NEW BUSINESS a. CORRECTED AGENDA ITEM: b. Discussion and possible action to allow special permission to allow property owner to have a 15' front setback instead of a 25' due to property size. i. Discussion and possible action on Resolution 2025-1, concerning Tax Exemptions for the 2025 Tax Year. i. Residential Homestead Exemption - No Exemption ii. Over 65 Exemption - $3,000.00 iii. Disability Exemption - $3,000.00 1. Douglas Harris made the motion to adopt Resolution 2025- 1, concerning Tax Exemptions for the 2025 Tax Year, of a. Financial Report: Yvonne Meyer made the motion to approve the expenses only for the December 2024, and the January 2025 expenses. John Morgan seconded the motion. Motion carried. Comcast contractors hit water lines in town, working on a solution to try and avoid further issues. Adjournment: Yvonne Meyer made the motion to adjourn the meeting.
