CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 8187 This item is the second and final reading of an ordinance amending the Amarillo Municipal Code, Chapter 8-5, to update definitions, provide clarity on the fee assessment process for public and private schools and child-care facilities, eliminate language for vended water already contained within state law, and expand acceptable qualifications for grease trap/interceptor design and installation. CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 8188 This item is the second and final reading of an ordinance adopting the Safe Streets and Roads for All Action Plan. CONSIDER AWARD - NORTHWEST 18TH AVENUE SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION PROJECT This item considers the award of an agreement for the construction of sidewalks on NW 18th Avenue in the North Heights neighborhood. Award to: Ti-Zack Concrete, LLC Amount: $426,451.76 Funding Source: Community Development Block Grant and Neighborhood Planning Initiative funds Is the item budgeted? This item considers the award of a contract for the demolition of the old lighting systems and installation of new LED park lighting and lighting control systems for John Stiff Memorial Park, Thompson Memorial Park and Memorial Park. Under the amendment, the contract will extend to a three-year original term with two one-year options to renew. CONSIDER AWARD - CONTRACT FOR COLONIES PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (PID) NEW IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT This item considers the award of a two-year contract for the Colonies Public Improvement District (PID) New Improvement Project for the installation of a storm drainage system, park, walking trails, irrigation, trees, sod, landscaping, and specialty lighting to be done by Green Plains Design. Work to be conducted is the rehabilitation of green space within the Colonies PID boundary. Award to: Green Plains Design, LLC Amount: $982,390.00 Funding Source: Assessments collected from property owners in the Colonies PID (City of Amarillo will not be responsible for funding any services related to this contract) Is the item budgeted? CONSIDER AWARD - LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR POINT WEST PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (PID) This item considers the award of the Point West Public Improvement District (PID) Landscape Maintenance Agreement for the maintenance of improvements within the Point West PID boundary, including entryway features, irrigation, flowerbeds and trees. The contract is for a term of two years. CONSIDER PURCHASE - VERMEER HORIZONTAL GRINDER This item considers the purchase of a 2025 HG4000 Vermeer Horizontal Grinder for daily use at the Solid Waste Collections Brush Sites. This is a scheduled replacement of unit 8863 which has reached its end of useful life. Award to: Vermeer Texas -Louisiana (BuyBoard Contract #684-22) Amount: $640,807.89 Funding Source: Fleet Service fund revenues. Is the item budgeted? CONSIDER PURCHASE - THREE HEIL 28YD AUTOMATIC SIDE LOADER TRASH TRUCKS This item considers the purchase of three Heil 28yd Automated Side Loader (ASL) trash trucks which were approved as additions to the fleet in the FY 24/25 budget. ASL trucks are used by the Solid Waste Division for the collection of residential polycarts. These additional trucks will be used to provide solid waste collection service to residential subdivisions which are currently being developed without alleys. CONSIDER AWARD - BLOWER AND ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENT STUDY AT HOLLYWOOD ROAD WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY This item considers the award of a professional services agreement to conduct a focused study of the blower and electrical improvements at the Hollywood Road Wastewater Treatment Facility (HWRWTF). CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE NO. 8189 This item is the discussion and consideration of all matters incident and related to the issuance and sale of "City of Amarillo, Texas, Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 2025", including the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the issuance of such certificates of obligation. CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 04-08-25-1 This item is a discussion and consideration of all matters incident and related to approving and authorizing publication of notice of intention to issue Series 2025A Certificates of Obligation, including the adoption of a resolution pertaining thereto.
