The meeting was held at the Bermuda Run Town Hall. Citizen Comments - NONE Presentation - Davie Medical Center Ms. Lori Koethe, CNO, Campus Administrator and Dr. Matt Cline, Chief Medical Officer, presented the history and current operations at the Davie Medical Center. It was originally opened in 1956 in Mocksville. (PowerPoint presentation included in minutes.) Proposed Action Items 1. Resolution R2025-003, Dissolve Bermuda Run Vision Committee and Create "Christmas in Bermuda Run" Committee Council Member JeffTedder made a motion to approve the resolution as presented. Budget Amendment BA-24-2025-001 Staff requests $10,000 from the General Fund to be allocated to education and travel expenses for Town Council. Council Member Rae Nelson made a motion to approve the budget amendment. Council Member Christy Schafer seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offive (5) in favor and none opposed. Town Manager Comments - Blue Heron Trail Phase II update - Ribbon Cutting date TBD for the connection to the I-40 Pedestrian Bridge. Mayor Comments - Thanked speakers from the Davie Medical Center and all in attendance. Attended opening ceremonies for the 32nd year of the Davie County Senior Games and praised Carrie Miller for her outstanding leadership. Representative from Senior Services to speak at the April Council Meeting. Announced new Community Officer Deputy Josh Whitlock. The remainder will be disbursed as invoices for incurred pre-construction and construction costs are submitted by the local government during construction, which may be submitted prior to or after paying the contractors for the incurred costs.
