CALL TO ORDER The Public Hearing ofthe Commission ofthe City ofWaycross was held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers ofCity Hall. Mayor James called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Those in attendance were, Commissioners Shawn Roberts, Alvin Nelson, and Mayor Pro Temp, Sheinita Bennett. II. Presented by the Finance Department The City Manager, Ulysess Rayford, gave a complete summary ofthis motion, reading all information regarding this bill for a vote from the commission tonight. IV. COMMISSION CONSIDERATION OF ACTIONS VI. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION BY THE CITY OF WAYCROSS, GEORGIA TO OPT OUT OF THE HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION PUSUANT TO O.C.G.A. 48-5-44.2 There was a motion made by Commissioner Roberts to approve this resolution, seconded by Mayor Pro Temp, Sheinita Bennett. All voted in favor and the motion passed. VII. ADJOURNMENT There was a motion to adjourn by Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Commissioner Roberts. All voted in favor and the meeting adjourned at 6:07pm.
