Hall (3120 Stonecrest Blvd Stonecrest) (meeting will be recorded and uploaded to the Stonecrest YouTube page) I. CALL TO ORDER: Councilman Terry Fye The meeting was called to order at 5.46pm. II. ROLL CALL All members were in attendance with the exception of ex-officio Gia Scruggs. II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Councilman Terry Fye requested an amendment ofthe agenda to add a Vice Chair for the TIPS Committee. Motion - made by Councilmember Tara Graves to approve the agenda as amended. Second by Councilmember Alecia Washington. Motion passed unanimously. IV. PUBLIC COMMENTS Overall limit in public comments is 20 minutes. Limited to 2 minutes per speaker. Speaker can only speak once in public comments. Public comments are restricted to topics regarding the TIPS Committee. V. AGENDA ITEMS a. Motion - made by Mayor Pro Tem, nominating Councilmember Alicia Washington as Vice Chair. Second by Councilmember Tammy Grimes. Motion passed unanimously. b. Approval of Meeting Minutes Motion - made by Chair Terry Fye to defer approval of the meeting minutes to the next meeting. Second by Co-Chair Alecia Washington. Motion passed unanimously. C. FY25 Anticipated Master Plan Projects City Engineer Hari Karikaran advised the master plans were Fairington Park, Browns Mill Park, Salem Park, and Transportation Master Plan. Items discussed were: Deck Parking Perimeter Fencing Outdoor Exercise Equipment Rubberized surface for children play area Construction of Gazebo Basketball Court Construction of additional trails d. FY25 Road Repayment Schedule City Engineer Hari Karikaran advised documents are being prepared and a tentative schedule created to improve the path and build a sidewalk. This will create a path for citizens to walk to the mall. Plans also include adding another turn lane at Briarwood Road. e. Parks Update on SEAC City Engineer Hari Karikaran gave a review of Southeast Athletic Center updates, covering the following; completion of fence and completion of parking lot. It was also noted that restrooms are presently in the bidding process and will be completed by July 2025. f. Pedestrian Crossing Improvement City Engineer Hari Karikaran stated there are scheduled pedestrian crossing improvements for Salem Road at Salem Middle School, Evans Mill Road at Flat Shoals Elementary, Dekalb Medical Parkway at Miller Grove High School, Salem Road at Fannin Drive, Phillips Road at Lithonia High, Mall Parkway at Stonecrest Square, and Rockland Road at. Arabia Mountain. g. Panola Road @ I-20 interchange; Let date is May 2025 Miller Road @ I-20 Bridge Replacement, construction underway; bridge demolition complete, scheduled to open at the end of August 2025 Fairington Road @ I-20 Major shutdown coming the end of April, early May 2025.
