CITIZEN INPUT EXECUTIVE SESSION (If needed) ADJOURN COUNCIL & STAFF REPORTS MARCH 2025 CITY MANAGER REPORT The Monthly Mayor luncheon was hosted the month by The City of Hoschton. Met with difference sources for funding and planning on the new municipal complex building on Peachtree Road. The Publix works building is completed and at full capacity. The City Manager met with a neighboring city, economic developer, to discuss future planning for the city's growth. Wreath across America will make its debut at the Hoschton Fall Festival. Celebrated with the City of Commerce on their new administrative complex. Business Networking. A great success with over 25 Hoschton businesses representing the community center. DDA conducted a special-called meeting to add two new members to their board. Attended the county's roundtable meeting. Staff is working with North Georgia Regional Commission to accomplish the amendment for the comprehensive plan. Training is being planned for Summer 2025 for the planning and zoning commission DDA mandatory training for new board members will be set for Fall 2025. Staff are continuing to do their on-going yearly training. Audit for Y2024 is completed. The City staff are working on accomplishing different ways to market the City events, city business and city accompushments. Reports and Citations- The Police Department has generated 1300 case numbers since January 1 and wrote 129 citations in the month of March. 2. Court- We will have court again on April 24th at City Hall. 3. Chief- Attended a Sexual Assault Response Team coordination meeting with law enforcement leaders in the county at the courthouse. Attended District 9 Chiefs training in Hartwell and covered De- escalation techniques. Attended an Intel Meeting at the Sheriff's Office and learned about finger print analysis. Attended Retirement receptions for Chief Esco (Braselton) and Chief Wirthman (Jefferson). Attended training at Lawrenceville PD put on by GBI that covered Officer Involved Use of Force and Shootings. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT HOSCHTON MONTHLY REPORT MARCH 2025 The Public Works Department completed the following in addition to normal day-to-day duties. Met with Marty Collier and did the final walk thru for Cresswind Phase 6A - complete Met with Chris Wilson (Aberdeen Development) for a progress meeting. Met With Brandon Pitts (Tribute Development) for a progress meeting. Met with Colby (EMI) to discuss sample sites for CNOP report. Met with Kroger on water line relocation for the decel lane. Cut in an access road to the sewer manholes behind houses in Brighton Park, this will also allow the HOA to be able to access their Stormwater pond to keep it maintained. > Continuing to work with EMI on getting Booster Pump online. We did make some progress this month and were able to get water going toward the North Tank. We have been using the Vac Truck to clean multiple Stormwater structures that were clogged. Most of these this month were on the roads behind City Hall and near the Cemetery. By doing this and then staying on top of maintenance with them it will allow for better water runoff and less ponding issues. We have been working with the WJ Fire Department to pressure test the fire hydrants in the City. We have several older hydrants that we are looking to replace within the next year. Met with Ben Johnson to do Bond Release Walk thru for Twin Lakes phases 6A, 6B, and 7. - in progress Met with Blain Croft with Alma Farms to do a Bond Release walk thru -in progress New dumpster pad was installed behind City Hall, doors are being made and will be installed early April.
