WHEREAS, Rockdale County comprehensively regulates land uses pursuant to its general police powers, planning powers, zoning powers, and other authority derived from applicable local laws, the Constitution of the State of Georgia, state and federal statutory authority, and other sources; and WHEREAS, Rockdale County comprehensively regulates land use to substantially advance public health, safety, morals, and general welfare; and WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners desires to proactively address a more diversified and qualified workforce by supporting avenues to create further opportunities and promote the quality ofl life within the community; and WHEREAS, specifically addressing trade schools supports and enhances additional education and certification programs for career development for the benefit of the residents of Rockdale County. NOW, T'HEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Rockdale County, Georgia, and it is hereby ordained by the authority of same as follows: Section I That Section 106.1 (c) Definitions Section 106 - Definitions and Abbreviations (Subpart B Planning and Development) of the Code of Rockdale County, Georgia, as amended, is hereby amended to add "Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting and Related Services". .as a defined term with the following definition: This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in providing computing infrastructure, data processing services, web hosting services (except software publishing) and related services, including streaming support services (except streaming distribution services). Data processing establishments provide complete processing and specialized reports from data supplied by clients or provide automated data processing and data entry services. Page 1 of3 Ordinance No. Case No. TEXT2025-06 Section II That Section 218-1 Table of Permitted Uses Article I Permitted and Special Uses (Subpart B Planning and Development) ofthe Code of Rockdale County, Georgia, as amended, is hereby amended to delete the reference to '518' in the column headed by the letters "NAICS", > to substitute the words Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting and Related Services' for the words Data Processing Services' in the column headed "Uses" and add the word "Yes" in the column headed byt the words "Suppl. Reg." " for the use now identified as "Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting and Related Services' 9 to the referenced table as depicted and shown on Exhibit C A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereofby reference. Section III That Section 218-13 Standards of Use and Development Article III Supplemental Use Standards (Subpart B Planning and Development of the Code of Rockdale County, Georgia, as amended, is hereby amended to add Paragraph (o) "Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting and Related Services" ? which new paragraph shall read as follows: (o) Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting and Related Services. Maximum building height: 85 feet, excluding rooftop mechanical equipment when building is located on property zoned M-1 or M-2. For all other zoning districts, the stated applicable height requirement for the zoning district in question shall apply. Section IV That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed Section V Should any court of competent jurisdiction declare any section of this ordinance invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration shall not affect the validity oft the ordinance, or any part thereof, which is not specifically declared to be invalid or unconstitutional.
