CALL' TO ORDER/DETERMINATION OF QUORUMLCHAIRMAN Chairman Felts called the February 25, 2025 FY26 Budget Workshop of the Amelia County Board of Supervisors to order at 9:00 A.M. and determined there was a quorum with all five members participating. Supervisor Morris offered the invocation, and everyone participated in the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. Approve/Amend the Agenda * 3. FY26 BUDGET DISCUSSION A. School Board Dr. Harper gave a brief presentation and introduction for Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump presented the update for the school FY26 budget. He explains what it consists of and how they have calculated the funding for current and future funding. B. Outside Agency Funding Requests Ms. Jackson represented the Commonwealth Regional Council. She discussed VREDA and CRC goals and requests. Dr. Moore represented Crossroads Community Services Board. She discussed current data of citizens served and request for funding. Ms. Knott represented the Longwood Small Business Development Center. She presented the FY26 request for funding and what the SBDC provides for the community. Mr. Rosier represented STEPS. He discussed what they have done in previous years and local matches. He discussed STEPS' current needs and funding request for FY26. He discussed what STEPS and the Madeline House provides to the community. C. Revenue Projections Pon Yusuf gave a presentation on potential projected FY26 expenditure growth and Revenue. She discussed with the board mitigating factors that influence the figures provided. Board members discussed current revenue trends and details ofthe miscellaneous revenue. D. Board members' Input/Discussion The board discussed current outside requests and what was approved in the past. E. Next Steps Mr. Monday discussed the proposed next steps. Revised revenue forecast Department expenditure summary Presentation from Fire and EMS for Proposed budget and staff phasing Presentation by the Sheriff's S Office Capital Improvement Projects o Board members' input on budget presentation for review. Established March 11 at 1:00 pm for the next FY26 Budget Session. 4.
