Town of Callahan 'A Florida Municipality' Planning & Zoning Board Meeting Minutes January 13, 2025 Present at meeting: Mr. Williams, Mayor Knagge, Mr. Kirk, Mr. Schwend, Mr. Davis, Mr. Bryan, Mr. Bell, Mr. Blue III, Ms. Reba Pearce and Mrs. Bianco Absent: Mrs. Gugliuzza I. Call to Order - Mr. Kirk at 7:00 PM II. Pledge of Allegiance & Invocation = Mr. Bryan III. Persons wishing to Address the Board- None IV. Minutes = Motion to be approved by Mr. Bryan and 2nd by Mr. Blue III Motion Carried V. Business - Site Plan Review 0 Old Dixie Hwy Callahan, FL 32011 - No one present to represent. This will be tabled for the next meeting. Tabled Site Plan Review Burger King 542300 US Hwy 1 Callahan, FL 32011 Ms. Sara Rauch -Iam the owner of the Burger King in Maclenny. I want to bring a nice, comfortable Burger King restaurant to Callahan. Mr. Kirk closed the planning and zoning meeting and opened the meeting to the public at 7:10pm. There were no public questions, concerns or comments. Mr. Kirk closed the meeting to the public and re-opened the planning and zoning meeting at 7:11pm. Motion to approve the Burger King by Mr. Schwend and 2nd by Mr. Bryan Motion carried J Agricultural Zoning Mr. Kirk closed the planning and zoning meeting and opened the meeting to the public at 7:15pm. Ms. Amy Green stated her concerns about the changes to the Agricultural Zoning that her and her neighbors were concerned about. Mr. Kirk closed the meeting to the public and re-opened the planning and zoning meeting at 7:25pm. Discussion around the table. The Planning and Zoning Board members discussed making an amendment to the Agricultural Zoning in the Code Book regarding the open rural designation. VI. Adjourn Motion to adjourn by Mr. Bryan and 2nd by Mr. Bell No one opposed. Motion Carried Unanimously.
