Job Description for Rental Home Inspector Duties and Responsibillties: Document findings and prepare detailed reports for property owners and borough council. -Communicate with property owner to explain inspection results. -Explain to property owners all repairs to be done to PUCC Code. -Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices. Collaborate with homeowner and renter to schedule and coordinate inspections. Requirements and Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent. -Be flexible as inspections may be required outside of normal business hours. -Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to work independently and manage time effectively -Physical ability to climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds. -Home inspection certification. -Experience in construction, engineering, or related field -Knowledge of building codes and regulations. -Attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or hazards. -The ability to attend monthly meetings as requested by the borough council. -In Pennsylvania, home inspectors are required to have Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance, with a minimum of $100,000 per occurrence and a $500,000 aggregate, along with general liability insurance covering a minimum of $100,000 per occurrence and a $500,000 aggregate.
