Box 1150 e Annetta, Texas 760080 (817) 441-5770 Special City Council Meeting Minutes The City Council met in a specially scheduled meeting on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Annetta Town Hall at 450 Thunder Head Lane to consider the following agenda: I. Call to order. Mayor Sandy Roberts called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. II. Pledge of Allegance/Invocation of Prayer. Council Member Shane Mudge led the pledge and Council Member Danny Coffman gave the invocation. III. Roll call/Quorum check. A quorum check revealed that Mayor Roberts and Council Members, Jim Causey, Kent Stasey, Danny Coffman, Shane Mudge and Brandon Thompson were all present. Also present was Jamee Long, City ecretaly/Adminstrator. IV. Public Comments: There were no public comments. V. New Business: a. Discussion and Action: Consider an Application and Agreement for Rainwater Harvesting Grant Program with the Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District. Council Member Coffman moved to open this item for discussion, Council Member Mudge seconded the motion. Town Engineer, Robert McGee, stated that he is assisting with the application for the rainwater harvesting system. He stated that the gutters for the shop would need to be changed and then there would be underground lines to the proposed ground storage tank. He stated that a 20,000 gallon storage tank would be the best solution. He stated that this area averages 32 inches of rain per year. He said that the tank capacity would be needed fort two months of rainwater. Mr. McGee stated that the down spouts on the shop would need to be replaced due to gravity. He stated that the proposed ground storage tank will be 7 feet tall. He stated that the pump will allow water to be pumped from the tank to the Town's drip irrigation system and will also have a line for a water hydrant to be used at the wastewater treatment plant. He stated that improvements will need to be made to accommodate electricity for the pump. Mr. McGee stated that the location was chosen SO that this can be used as a teaching tool for Annetta citizens. Discussion regarding a meter for the rainwater system. He stated that the proposed system will only be harvesting rainwater from the Town's shop which has a metal roof. Council Member Coffman asked if the grant would cover the entire cost of the system. Mr. McGee stated that the decision will be up to the Upper Trinnity Groundwater Conservation District. Ms. Long discussed the number of gallons of Annetta water used by ESD #1. Mr. McGee stated that the contractor is recommended by the District. Council Member Causey moved to approve applying for and submitting the Application and Agreement for Rainwater Harvesting Grant Program with the Upper Trinity Groundwater Conservation District, Council Member Mudge seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. 1 VI.
