Approval of the Mayor's nomination of Nancy Jardini to serve on the Swim Team Committee for a term ending August 30, 2019. 4. Approval of the Mayor's nomination of Amy Power to serve on the Swim Team Committee for a term ending August 30, 2019. 5. Approval of the Mayor's nomination ofMaura Vanderzon to serve on the Swim Team Committee for a term ending August 30, 2019. 6. Approval of the Mayor's nomination of Matt Zaft to serve on the Swim Team Committee for a term ending August 30, 2019. 7. Approval of the Mayor's nomination Josh Bobeck to serve on the Swim Team Committee for a term ending August 30, 2019. 8. Motion passed 5-0. Non Consent Agenda 10. Town Manager Charnovich presented the February Financial Report. 11. 2017 Swim Team Budget Michael Roark of the Swim Team Committee was in attendance to address any questions about the 2017 Swim Team budget. 12. 4722 Dorset Avenue - Motion Shaul, second Zeughaser to approve a recommendation of the Town Council acting as the Local Advisory Panel to the Historic Preservation Commission on an application to construct two additions in the rear ofthe house and to enclose the existing porch. Motion passed 5-0. 13. 5809 Surrey Street - Motion Shaul, second Zeughauser to approve a recommendation of the Town Council acting as the Local Advisory Panel to the Historic Preservation Commission on an application to complete cosmetic repair work to the rear and sides of the house. No Town permit will be required for this work. Motion passed 5-0. 14. 4814 Falstone Avenue - Town Manager Charnovich provided a written report to the Town Council as a follow up from the February 6, 2017 Council Meeting. Nothing further to do at this time. 15. Town Garage fence replacement at rear of 4515 Dorset Avenue - Town Manager Charnovich explained the process about the fence design and proposal obtained. Motion Zeughauser, second Shaul to approve the fence proposal at a cost not to exceed $3,373.00 and authorize the Town Manager to work with the resident at 4515 Dorset Avenue who was willing to contribute to the cost of the fence to make it as high as it can in accordance with the law and to also install a gate. Motion passed 5-0. 16. Ordinance amending Section 9-202 of the Town Code related to parking restrictions on Dorset Avenue near Wisconsin Avenue An Ordinance was introduced to amend No Parking restrictions on Dorset Avenue between Wisconsin Avenue and Deal Place. Residents who lived at the following addresses spoke at the hearing: 4509 Dorset, 4511 Dorset and 4515 Dorset. An article would be written for the Journal, with another public hearing and action scheduled for the April 3, 2017 Council meeting. 17. Montgomery County short-term rental legislation - Town Attorney Ron Bolt was in attendance at the meeting to briefthe Council on the latest developments concerning this legislation. Action may be taken at a future meeting once more info is learned on what is being proposed. 18. Proposal for safety lighting around the Town Hall, parking lot and garage areas - Motion Shaul, second Peale to approve the proposal submitted by Outdoor Illumination, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $39,289.61.00 to add safety lighting to the Town Hall driveway, garage, and parking lot areas. Motion passed 5-0. 19. Camp Summerset use ofTown Pool for the 2017 season Motion Condos, second Peale to approve entrance into a contract with Camp Summerset for the 2017 pool season. Motion passed 5-0. 20. Camp Summerset use ofthe Town Tennis Courts for the 2017 season = Motion Peale, second Shaul to approve entrance into a contract with Camp Summerset for the 2017 season. Motion passed 5-0. 21. Mid-Atlantic Inspection proposal to update property inspection report at 4510 Cumberland Avenue - Motion Zeughauser, second Condo to approve the proposal to update the report at a cost of $1,800.00. Motion passed 5-0. 22. 2017 calendar of special events - Motion Shaul, second Zeughauser to approve the calendar of events with the following modifications: the Summer kick-off party will be on June 17, 2017 from 12 pm to 2 pm at the Pool, and the Nonagenarian ice cream social would be on September 12, 2017 from 3 pm to 4 pm at the Town Pool. Motion passed 5- 0. 23. General Code project update - It was determined things would slow down a little bit until after the budget sessions and budget season. Once budget season was over, the Council, Mayor, and Town Manager would pick back up again with the Town Code and Charter project. This would likely be in April or May sometime. 24. Mayor's Report Mayor Slavin had his report available in the room for the Town Council and anyone else who wanted to viewit. 25. Adourn at 9:50 pm
