Public Funds Resolution for accounts the Town of Somerset maintains with Capital One Bank A Montgomery Counly, Maryland Municipality Non-Consent Agenda Council Member Peale introduced the following pieces of legislation: An amendment to the Town Code clarifying a time period tree removal work must be completed An amendment to the Town Code removing the rental ofthe Town Tent by the general public 4. Town Manager Charnovich provided the May 2014 Financial Report 5. Adoption of the FY15 Budget: Motion Shaul, Second Zeughauser to adopt the FY15 Budget, setting the same real estate tax rates as in FY14. Motion passed 5-0. 6. Approval of a HVAC Unit installation Permit at 5702 Warwick Place. Motion Shaul, second Pickar, motion passed 5-0. 7. Approval of a HVAC Unit relocation Permit at 5803 Warwick Place. Motion Zeughauser, second Shaul. Motion passed 5-0. 8. Approval of a Building Permit at 5510 Trent Street to install a screened porch at the rear oft the house. Motion Zeughauser, second Shaul. Denial of a 4.01' side-yard setback waiver request submitted for 4704 Falstone Avenue. Motion to grant the waiver request, Condos, second Pickar. Motion failed 3-2, with Shaul, Zeughauser and Peale voting against. 11. Approval of a 2-month Building Permit extension at 4806 Falstone Avenue. Motion Shaul, second Zeughauser. Motion passed 5-0. 12. Adoption of an Ordinance ofthe Town of Somerset, Montgomery County, Maryland, amending Section 9-103, speed humps and bumps to add a new hump on Surrey Street. Motion Peale, second Shaul. Motion passed 5-0. 13. Approval to plant a Town cherry tree at 5524 Trent Street. Motion Zeughauser, second Shaul. Motion passed 5-0. 14. Approval of a contract with NB Health and Fitness, LLC DBA Wet Yet? Water Fitness for water aerobics classes at the Town Pool for 2014. Motion Condos, second Shaul. Motion passed 5-0. 15. Approval of a contract with AquaFree Facilities Services, Inc. for the 2014 pool season. Motion Condos, second Shaul. Motion passed 5-0. 16. Approval of a proposal submitted by Vigilant Security for security monitoring at the Town Pool for the 2014 season. Motion Condos, second Pickar. Motion passed 5-0. 17. Bids to replace the gutter system at the Town Pool were discussed and the Town Administration was requested to consult with the Mcinturff Architects further on a gutter system that be functional and aesthetically sufficient. Action would be considered at the next meeting. 18. Town Motto: Motion Zeughauser, second Condos, to adopt a Resolution naming the following Town Motto: "Where people and trees have deep roots and grow strong. 99 Author ofi the motto is David Sacks. A random drawing took place for all oft those who submitted mottos. Diane McCabe Smith was the winner of the random drawing as selected by Barbara Marenus. Motion passed 5-0. 19. Mayor Slavin provided his report to the Council and public in attendance. 20. An Executive Session was held to discuss a legal matter until 9:55 pm. 21. Adjourn: 9:55 pm.
