Public Comments None Consent Agenda Motion Zeughauser, second Shaul to approve the following items on the consent agenda: Approval of a 2014 Arbor Day Proclamation Approval of the Bulk Trash Pick Up for May 5, 2014 A Montgomery County, Maryland Municipality Approval of Matthew Zaft, Dorset, to serve on the Pool Committee for a term to expire December 31, 2016. Approval of Dolores Bartning, Surrey, to serve on the Pool Committee for a term to expird December 31, 2016. Approval of] Donna Harman, Dorset, to serve on the Parks and Natural Resources Committee for a term to expire December 31, 2016 Approval of Judy Bowles, Surrey, to serve on the Parks and Natural Resources Committee for a term to expire December 31, 2016 Approval of Carol Jason, Warwick, to serve on the Parks and Natural Resources Committee for a term to expire on December 31, 2016. Approval confirming PCO 24 in relation to the Town Hall renovation project in the amount of$1,918.00 to replace front door lock, beveled edge hearth, dedicated kitchen circuit, reroute plumbing for kitchen, add (2) rows for coat hooks and install coat hooks. Non-Consent Agenda Town Manager Charnovich provided the March 2014 Financial Report Town Manager Charnovich briefly presented Mayor Slavin's 5-Year Fiscal Plan that would be published in the Journal and on the Town website. Approval of a permit application submitted for 5610 Warwick Place to construct a porch addition. Motion Zeughauser, second Shaul to approve and include the reports submitted by Mr. Plummer and Dr. Feather. Motion passed 5-0. Approval of a permit application submitted by WSSC to replace 6 sewer laterals at the following locations on Cumberland Avenue: 4811 Cumberland, 4813 Cumberland, 4814 Cumberland, 4815 Cumberland, 4816 Cumberland, 4818 Cumberland. Motion Shaul, second Zeughauser. Motion passed 5-0. Approval of a proposal submitted by Town Code Inspector Larry Plummer for sidewalk, paving, curb and sidewalk work on Essex Avenue, Surrey Street, Trent Court, Falstone Avenue and Cumberland Avenue at a cost not to exceed $174,000.00. It was determined an article would be written in the Town Journal concerning the installation of a speed hump on Surrey, equidistant between Grantham and Greystone. Council Members Shaul and Pickar jointly introduced the amendment. Motion Shaul, second Pickar. Motion passed 5-0. Setting of the Pool opening and closing dates was tabled until the April Council Meeting. Discussion on County requirements for the fence at the Town Pool near the creek took place during the Council work session. Motion Condos, second Peale, Motion passed 5-0 to authorize the Town Manager to get the work done the County is requiring SO the pool can open. Approval of a Contract with Camp Summerset for use of the Town tennis courts for the 2014 season. Motion Pickar, second Zeughauser, motion passed 5-0. Thomas Downey, LTD Consulting Engineering attended the Council Meeting to discuss the Report he completed for the Council concerning the condition of the town tennis courts. Adoption of a Resolution confirming the Town of Somerset's! intent to pursue the Sustainable Maryland designation, with Mayor Slavin named as the municipal agent. Motion Shaul, second Zeughauser. Motion passed 5-0. Mayor's Report - Mayor Slavin provided a written copy of this report to the Council which included: materials placed on utility poles in the right of way (ex. Missing dog notices), the upcoming MML Luncheon in Annapolis, and the sledding hill on Cumberland Avenue. Adjourn-9:20
