Public Comments Lucy Freeman, Dorset, asked the Council and Mayor if they would consider painting house numbers on curbs again. Consent Agenda Appointment of the Pool Committee Chairperson was tabled until next month. Motion Pickar, second Shaul to approve the following Consent Agenda items: John Stewart to sit on the Board of Supervisor of Elections for a term to expire December 31, 2016 A Montgomery County, Maryland Municipality David Sapin to sit on the Batting Cage Committee for a term to expire December 31, 2015 Mark Oxley to sit on the Batting Cage Committee for a term to expire December 31, 2015 JeffN Macher to sit on the Batting Cage Committee for a term to expire December 31, 2014 Abby Nolan to sit on Tennis Committee for a term to expire December 31, 2016 Sue Besharov to sit on the Tennis Committee for a term to expire December 31, 2016 Non-Consent Agenda Town Manager Charnovich provided the January Financial Report Approval of the Somerset Dolphins Swim Team 2014 Budget. It was determined 2 years of funding would be included in the FY15 budget: $22,869.00 per year. Motion Shaul, second Zeughauser, motion passed 5-0. Approval of demolition, building, wall, curb cut, dumpster and reforestation permits and to include the reports of the Town Arborist and Code Enforcement Officer for application submitted for 4511 Dorset Avenue. Motion, Zeughauser, second Shaul. Motion passed 5-0. Approval of a 3-week Permit Extension for Washington Gas to January 13, 2014 for a project that is currently taking place on Essex Avenue. Motion Zeughauser, second Shaul. Motion passed 5-0. A brief presentation was made by Town Code Officer Larry Plummer concerning a proposal for sidewalk, paving and curb work on various streets and sidewalks. It was determined that further information and consideration of the proposal would take place at the February Council Meeting. Approval to set the 2014 Somerset Election Date for April 2, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm in the Town Hall for 1 Mayor and 2 Council seats. Motion Zeughauser, second Shaul. Motion passed 5-0. Approval of PCO 14R in relation to the Town Hall interior renovation project in the amount of $3,210.00. The scope of work includes the following: repair the existing 1st floor windows, replace cords, replace weights as needed to make windows operable, remove existing sashes as necessary to perform work, and add additional trim at ceiling of meeting room per Architect and Owners request.
