Mayor Slavin and the Council signed a Town of Somerset History Book to provide to the Trumans. Guido Bracciale, 5800 Deal Place, made comments in relation to the trees that were approved at the November Council Meeting to be planted on his property. Council Minutes Motion Council Member Zeughauser, second Vice President Shaul to pass the November 5, 2012 Council Meeting Regular and Closed Meeting minutes. Motion passed 5-0. December Financial Report Town Manager Charnovich presented the December Financial Report to the Mayor and Council. 5615 Warwick Place Town Inspector Plummer and Town Arborist Feather provided their reports. There were no questions from the Council. Motion Council Member Pickar, second Council Member Peale to approve the building permit to construct the new deck in the rear yard and to include the Town Arborist's tree protection plan. Motion passed 5-0. Status of Construction Projects at 5529 Uppingham Street, 5510 Trent Street, and 5513 Uppingham Street Town Inspector Plummer provided the Council with a written report on these 3 construction projects. 2013 Election Day Motion Council Member Pickar, second Vice President Shaul to approve March 20, 2013 from 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm at the Town Hall. Motion passed 5-0. Environmental Committee Chair Council Vice President Shaul presented Robin Barr's accomplishments and bio to the Town Council and Mayor. Motion Vice President Shaul. Second Council Member Zeughauser, to confirm the Mayor's nomination of Robin Barr as Chair of the Town Environmental Committee. Motion passed 5-0. Motion Vice President Shaul, second Council Member Pickar to also send letters to Mike Hill and George Wyeth thanking them both for their service as Co-Chairs of the Environmental Committee. Motion passed 5-0. Mayor's Report Mayor Slavin turned it over to Council Member Pickar for her to explain the proposed PEPCO rate increase before the PSC and to express to the Council what their options were. It was determined that the Council would have a special meeting at 11:30 am in advance of the holiday party on December 20, 2012 to discuss this matter further. Adjourn 8:39 pm
