A contractor would like to have water/sewer hookup. The problem with this hook-up is that it would be about 8 feet deep, which would need shoring. Councilor Reed contacted Action Rental and could rent 2-6 ft X 6 ft shoring for $200.00. He feels the highway crew could complete this job. The committee agreed to have Councilor Reed pursue this. The borough has received a price to do the storm sewers for approximately $120,000.00. Councilor Reed suggested to have the highway crew dig the hole and have Lehigh Engineering supervise laying the piping. Doing the work in-house the cost could be approximately $50,000.00.
