Huntingdon, PA Tuesday, March 4, 2025 9:30 a.m. The regular meeting of the Huntingdon County Commissioners was held on the above date and time in the Commissioner's Meeting Room with the following present: Commissioners Walls, Thomas, and Reeder; Solicitor, Larry Newton; Chief Clerk, Heather Fellman; Community Development Administrator, Jen Bellis; CYS Fiscal Supervisor, Cecelia St. Clair and Daily News Reporter, Joe Thompson. The meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by Commissioner Walls. Prayer was led by Commissioner Thomas and the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was led by Reeder. It was moved by Commissioner Reeder, seconded by Commissioner Thomas and carried (Walls, yes; Thomas, yes; Reeder, yes) to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. It was moved by Commissioner Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Reeder and carried (Thomas, yes; Reeder, yes; Walls, yes) to approve payment of bills. There were two additions to the agenda. The first is change order #5 for K&K Plumbing. It was moved by Commissioner Reeder, seconded by Commissioner Thomas and carried (Reeder, yes; Walls, yes; Thomas, yes). The second is change order #6 for K&K Plumbing. It was moved by Commissioner Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Reeder and carried (Walls, yes; Thomas, yes; Reeder, yes). Under announcements, Commissioner Walls commented that now that spring is approaching, more people will be outside. He urged residents to use extra caution when driving. There were no public comments. There were no matters to be addressed by the Solicitor. Under new business, Jen Bellis, Community Development Administrator, requested consideration of approval for change order #1 for the PA Avenue Restoration Project. This change order authorizes an extension of 4 days and an adjustment to the cost of the project. It was moved by Commissioner Reeder, seconded by Commissioner Thomas and carried (Thomas, yes; Reeder, yes; Walls, yes). Cecelia St. Clair, CYS Fiscal Supervisor, noted that the first item on the agenda was added in error. This document was approved at the January 28th meeting and just needs a signature. Cecelia St. Clair requested consideration of approval for a purchase of service agreement with Nursery Rhymes Child Care Center. This is for daycare services for children in foster care. It was moved by Commissioner Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Reeder and carried (Reeder, yes; Walls, yes; Thomas, yes). Consideration of approval was given for the re-appointment of George Kyle to the Huntingdon County Housing Authority for a five-year term to expire on March 1, 2030. It was moved by Commissioner Reeder, seconded by Commissioner Thomas and carried (Walls, yes; Thomas, yes; Reeder, yes). Consideration of approval was given for K&K Plumbing change order #5 to replace an exterior water line. The total cost of this change is $2,652.75. It was moved by Commissioner Thomas, seconded by Commissioner Reeder and carried (Thomas, yes; Reeder, yes; Walls, yes). Consideration of approval was given for K&K Plumbing change order #6 to install roof drains on the rubber roof. The total cost of this change is $2,875.63. It was moved by Commissioner Reeder, seconded by Commissioner Thomas and carried (Reeder, yes; Walls, yes; Thomas, yes). Joe Thompson asked if the project is still on track for the original completion date. Commissioner Walls responded that it would probably be extended until May. There were no Matters for Action.
