Councilwoman Blackshear gave. a word of prayer and the meeting congregants recited the Pledge of Allegiance in unison. The Mayor went right into the business of the evening by Jimmy Burns will begin demolition of the old parts store by T&K Hicks soon. Don Powell, Building Inspector, will be working on citing businesses in the City without current ousiness licenses. Administration Nivea Jackson announces that the new water bills will be printed on a regular form instead of on card stock as usual. The USPS states that the cards were causing a lot of problems mailing. Mayor Nail expressed to Sydney Clifton the reason for the change as well as the citizens getting their water bills late. The Mayor drew the attention to 2 new special events for the month of March and April that needed Council Approval. Councilwoman Verdie Williams is confirming whether the Council is going to require or not require event insurance for events on City property. The FD has applied for 50/50% matching Forestry Grant. The City would be required to match $10k. BRANDON PARKER BUILD SITE: Councilwoman Blackshear makes a motion to approve the subdivision and applying to the grant to help the City's contribution to the subdivision. Council wants all employees to be consulted sO that they would not be blinded by the costs. Motion by: Carolyn Blackshear 2nd by: Doug Williams Motion: Carries unanimously Rezoning 117 James Street: City Attorney has read and defined "Food Truck" to the Council. 117 James Street has met zoning and application requirements for Council vote to rezone 117 James from residential to commercial (C-1).
