Call to Order Mayor Robert Smith called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. 2. Invocation Mayor Robert Smith gave the invocation. 3. Quorum Check Quorum Check was called by City Secretary Cheryl Everett. A quorum was present: Councimembers: Mayor ProTem Phil Adkison, Sherry Hellwig,Terry Taliaferro, and Frankie Ornduff Absent (at Quorum Check): Juan Ramos Other City Officials present: Rodney McCarty, Interim City Administrator Cheryl Everett, City Secretary Jeff Burns, Police Chief Other City Employees present: Other City Affiliates present: Other Guests present: (as per Sign In Sheet) 4. DISCUSSION AND ACTION to approve the Minutes of the previous Council Meetings. Discussion: Action: Mayor Pro Tem Phil Adkison moved to approve the 20240711 Minutes. Councilmember Frankie Ornduff seconded the motion. Four (4) for and none (0) opposed. Motion Passed 5. DISCUSSION AND ACTION to approve New roof for City Hall. Discussion: Rodney McCarty Interim City Administrator went over the 3 bids for the new roof: B&J Roofing $14,596.00, Basham Construction $12,960.00 and Adam Brothers $10,175.00. Action: Councilmember Terry Taliaferro moved to approve Basham Construction Bid for $12,960.00. Councimember Frankie Ornduff seconded the motion. Four (4) for and none (0) opposed.
