CITY OF HOLLAND CALLED CITY COUNCIL MEETING Kuhlmann Center - 107 West Travis Monday, August 29, 2005 @ 6:30 PM Minutes The CALLED COUNCIL MEETING of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Curt Murray and was held on Monday, August 29, 2005 @ 6:40 PM in the Kuhlmann Civic Center in the City of Holland, Texas. Mayor and council members were present were Teddy Gaines, Mae Smith, Terri Crum. CR Siprian was absent due to a death in his family, and Sharon Simmons was absent due to iliness. OLD BUSINESS Renewal of the Wolf LandLease was discussed. Mr. Curtis Wolf was present as well as Laura Wijey, representing the Chamber of Commerce, Baseball Assn, CornFest Assn who plan to develop this area into a city park for all the townspeople and also pay the $1760 lease that the city would lose for this next year. The council thanked Mr. Wolf, but voted not to renew the lease. All were in favor and motion carried. A 30 day notice letter will be mailed by city secretary terminating lease as required by the lease document. Planning and Zoning Committee reported by Chairman, Renay Johnson who stated the following recommendations which were approved by the city council on behalf of the committee: 30 day notices would be sent to the following: 401 Josephine (Stevens) - 30 day notice to clear property, remove structures, and show intent of placement of modular home by getting permits. 504 Kary (Lara) - request full inspection by city inspector for safety and well being. 402 Brenda (Goodnight/Lara) 30 day notice to clean up trash weeds, brush, repair underpinning, skirting of mobile home 302 Romberg Bowman/Chamberan) 30 day notice to clean trash, mow grass on lot and remove: vehicles. 403 N. Lexington (Balusek) 30 day notice to tear down and remove old house, clean lot of trash, rubbish, grass & weeds. Items regarding action on USDA Grant application and appointment of Leo Wood as consultant to this grant were removed from the table in a motion made by Mae Smith and seconded by Teddy Gaines. All were favor and motion passed. The council adopted the NIMS - National Incident management System as the standard for incident management Motion to Adjourn by Smith, 2"d by Crum.
