City ofHudson Council Meeting Minutes City Council of the City of Hudson, Texas, met in regular session Thursday, March 8th, 2018 at the City Hall Council Room, 201 Mt. Carmel Rd., Hudson, Texas, at 5:30p.m. 1. Call to Order Mayor Robert Smith called the meeting to order at 5:31 p.m. 2. Invocation Councimember Joann Novak gave the invocation. 3. Quorum Check Quorum Check was called by City Secretary Cheryl Everett. A quorum was present: Councilmembers: Mayor Pro Tem George Knight, Juan Ramos, Phil Adkison and Joann Novak Absent (at Quorum Check): Terry Taliaferro Other City Officials present: Cheryl Everett, City Secretary Other City Employees present: Jimmy Casper, Hudson Police Chief Rodney McCarty, Field Supervisor Other City Affiliates present: Other Guests present: (as per Sign In Sheet) Donna Smith, Steve Knight 4. DISCUSSION AND ACTION to approve the Minutes of the February council meeting. Discussion: Action: Councilmember Joann Novak moved to approve the Minutes of the February council meeting. Mayor Pro Tem George Knight seconded the Motion. Four (4) for and none (0) opposed- - Motion Passed. 5. DISCUSSION AND ACTION to adopt the Ordinance Cancelling a City Election. Discussion: Action: Mayor Pro Tem George Knight moved to adopt the Ordinance Cancelling a City Election. Councilmember Joann Novak seconded the Motion. Hudson Volunteer Fire Department No Report Mayor Robert Smith spoke about the loss of Goldie Bass, a Hudson Volunteer fireman. Goldie was a very valuable member of the Hudson Volunteer Fire Dept. and was given a Fireman's Funeral for his years of dedication. b.
