DRINKING WATER PROBLEM CORRECTED Customers of The Town of Louisa water system located on Ellisville Dr., West St., Loving St., and Henson Ave. were notified on Wednesday, March 19th of a problem with our drinking water, and were advised to boil their water before consumption out of an abndance of caution after a water main break caused a loss of pressure in the area. We are pleased to report that the problem has been corrected and that it is no longer necessary to boil your water before consumption. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. Bacteriological samples collected on March 19, 2025, and March 20, 2025, were absent of total coliform bacteria and E. coli indicating the water main break and loss of pressure did not result in the introduction of these bacteria into the water system. As always, you may contact The Town of Louisa at (540)748-3916 or 212 Fredericksburg Ave. with any comments or questions. Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses).
