Public hearing of a Proposed Text Amendment to the City of Brooklet Zoning Ordinanceto amend section 5-2 of appendix b-zoning of the code of ordinances of the city of Brooklet by changing the minimum lot area in R-1 and R-3 zoning districts, and by further changing the minimum front yard setbacks in R-1, R-2 and R-3 zoning districts, the minimum rear yard setbacks in R-1 and R-2 zoning districts, and the minimum side yard setbacks in R-1 zoning districts, and furthermore to amend section 4-1 of appendix b- zoning to reflect the foregoing changes in lot size, and to revise the building area percentages on lots in R-1, R-2 and R-3 zoning districts in relation to the minimum lotsizes allowed in each such zoning district. The Planning and Zoning committee voted on November 11, 2021 to deny the proposedtext amendment. Reports from committee members Mayor Pro-Tem Gwinnett - The North Cromley Road project is 90% ready to bid and the Cotton Gin Road project is 70% ready to bid. Ellis Wood has not showed up to do the patch work. Wesley Parker is expecting an answer about rather or not we will be approved for the grant for the sewer project. Councilman Anderson - Start working on the budget in February, work with each department and plan for future expenses. Councilman Stanoff - The safety grant has been approved. The Round About Café' will be opening soon in Brooklet and also a Pizza restaurant will be coming soon on highway 80 East. The Christmas Festival will be this Saturday at the festival grounds. Councilman Griffith - Serious water issue occurred not very long ago, the gauge on the tank was not working but has since been repaired. We have received the second lawn mower. All dead meters have been repaired and are working. Councilman Schlierf - to everyone on Council, thank you for everything you have helped me with in the 8 years I have been on council. To the new members this is a think lessj job at times, it's s not easy but it is fun and it is worth it and he wishes them all very well. 11. Report from Police Chief a. Gary M. Roberts - gave the monthly pd report. 12. Report from Building Inspector/City Marshall a. Bobbie Hoch - gave the monthly building inspection report. 13. Old business a. Second reading and approval of a revised ordinance to regulate alcohol sales in the city of Brooklet to include the package sale of malt beverages and wine and the pouring of malt beverages, wine and distilled spirits in restaurants, to provide for definitions, to provide for licensing and qualifications for licenses, to provide for distance requirementsfor alcoholic beverage sales near churches and schools, to provide for application requirements, to provide for transferability of licenses, to prohibit certain acts on licensed premises, to provide for proper identification required for purchase, to provide for wholesale license requirements, to provide for hours of sale, to provide for license fees, to provide for suspension and revocation of licenses, and for other purposes.
