All water and sewer taps must apply for service SO that the Rice Water Supply's engineer can do a hydraulic study to make sure there is adequate GPM and pressure. When he informs us of the results we pass it along to the home builder or developer. The City of Ennis directs customers that are in our area by their Planning and Zoning department. The City of Corsicana Economic development and Planning and zoning directs prospective developers to our office when the area is in our service area. Navarro and Ellis county clerks both direct new customers to our office. The City Secretary of Alma directs home builders and commercial properties to our office when a location is in our area. I would like to add that Rice Water Supply and Sewer Service Corporation is in the process of adding an additional 300,000 GST to our system. We have also been approved for a 4 million dollar loan from USDA to improve aging water lines in the system. I hope this helps with what you need. Ijust need to stress that every tap whether it is domestic use or commercial has to start with a hydraulic study SO that the water company knows exactly what needs to be served. Thanks in advance, Joey Smith On Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11:50:00 AM CDT, Vicki Fisher Visher@ricelx.gow> wrote: Rice City Council is having a workshop on November 14, 2024 at 7:00 pm. One item on the agenda is a vision of the future for Rice. That will include a 1-year plan and a 5-year plan. We would like for a representative of the Rice Water Supply Company to be present to answer questions council members might have regarding the water and sewer availability. Do you think someone can be here for that item? After that discussion, they can leave, if they would like.
