REGULAR SESSION MEETING FEBRUARY 24, 2025 Be it remembered on the 24th day of February at 10:00 o'clock A.M., there was Begun and Holden a Regular Meeting of the Commissioner's Court the Courthouse, in the town of Farwell, with the following members in To-wit: present, Isabel Izzy Carrasco Judge Kirk Frye Commissioner Pct. #1 Charles Wilkins Commissioner Pct. #2 Kenny White Commissioner Pct. #3 Casey Russell Commissioner Pct. #4 Sharon May County Treasurer Susie Spring County Clerk Also Present: Awyna Sanchez, Tax Assessor-Collector Jessica White, Election Administrator Amy Dudley When the following was had and done, To-wit: Call to Order 1. Prayer Commissioner White led the Court in prayer to begin the meeting. 2. Pledge of Allegiance to the American Flag and the Texas Flag The Court pledged their allegiance to the flags of the United States of America and the State of Texas. 3. Open Forum for Public Comments There were no comments from members of the public. 4. Approve Minutes from Previous Meeting Upon a motion to approve the minutes from the Special Meeting on February 17, 2025, by Commissioner Frye, seconded by Commissioner White the motion passed by a majority vote. 5. Consider Approval and Payment of Accounts Payable-Sharon May 1 Sharon May reported the Accounts Payable List for February 24th for 2024 invoices. She presented a list for February 19th and 24th for 2025 invoices. Motion by Commissioner White, seconded by. Commissioner Russell to approve Payment of the Accounts Payable as presented. Motion carried by majority vote. See attached. 6. Consider Treasurer's Payroll Report-Sharon May Commissioner Frye made the motion to approve the Treasurer's Payroll Report for February 14, 2025, Commissioner Wilkins seconded and the motion passed by majority vote. See attached. 7. Consider and Discuss Bonds for Parmer County Employees The following Bond Continuations were presented for approval: Ruby Valenzuela, Deputy Dist. Clerk Matthew Ancira, Deputy Dist. Clerk Mayra Chacon, Deputy County. Clerk The following new bonds were presented for approval: Kirk Frye, Commissioner Pct. 1 Kenny White, Commissioner Pct. 3 Awyna Sanchez, Tax Assessor-Collector Jessica White, Election Administrator Eric Geske, Sheriff Jeff Actkinson, Parmer County Attorney Upon a motion by Commissioner Frye to approve the presented bonds, seconded by Commissioner White, the motion passed by majority vote. Bonds are filed in the County Clerk's office. 8. Consider and Discuss Continuing Education Hours for Parmer Treasurer County 67.5 Hours were submitted for approval by Treasurer, Sharon May. Upon a motion by Commissioner Russell to approve the hours, seconded by Commissioner White, the motion passed with a majority vote. See attached. 9. Consider and Discuss Continuing Education Hours for JP #3 Commissioner Russell made a motion to accept the certificate for continuing education presented by Justice of the Peace #3, Pamela Haseloff. Commissioner Wilkins seconded and the motion passed with a majority vote. See attached. 2 10. Consider Any and All Matters Concerning the Parmer County Law Enforcement Center In the absence of Sheriff Geske, Amy Dudley reported 24 inmates housed in the Parmer County Jail. Four of the inmates are from Lamb nine of the inmates are from Lubbock County. County and With no further business to come before the Court, Commissioner White to adjourn.
