Consider and Discuss Resolution No. 2023-12-04 (Executive Session) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CISCO, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY, WILLIAM P. CHESSER, OR DESIGNEE TO OPT THE CITY OUT OF THE 3M CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT FOR DRINKING WATER CONTAMINATION. The Council convened into Executive Session under Section 551.071 Consultation with Attorney at 6:02 p.m. The Council reƧonvened into Regular Session at 6:08 p.m. and took the following action: Motion was made by Councilmember Bruner to opt out of Resolution No. 2023-12-04; motion was rescinded. Motion was made by Councilmember Bruner to approve resolution as presented, second was made by Councilmember Whetstone. Motion prevailed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmembers: Whetstone, Johnston, W. Johnson, Bruner, Forester Nays: None/Motion Carries Voted: 5to0 Absent: C. Johnson, Toof B. Consider and Discuss Long Range Planning. Mr. Archer invited the Council to attend the city's Christmas party on December 12, 2023 at 6:00 p.m., and reminded the Council that the Lighted Christmas Parade would be on December 7, 2023 at dark. C. Announcements for City Council. Councilmember Bruner requested that an item be placed on the next agenda to begin the process to revise the CDC By-Laws. VII. ADJOURNMENT Motion was made by Councilmember Johnston to adjourn, second made by Councilmember W. Johnson.
