REGULAR SESSION December 9, 2024 PAGE 1 Notice is hereby given that a Public Meeting was held on December 9, 2024, at the Garrison City Hall. Members present were Mayor Keith Yarbrough, Arnie Kelley, Darrell Lunsford, Tim Wright, and Travis Simon. Hope Hallmark was absent. Others present were Jack Brown, Tim and Candance Barton, Myke Chandler, Herbert Hancock, and Jenny Frederick. Mayor Yarbrough called the meeting to order at 5:00 P.M. Jack Brown led in prayer. There were no public comments. Jenny Frederick presented the minutes from November 25, 2024, for approval. Travis Simon moved to approve the minutes from November 25, 2024. Arnie Kelley seconded. All voted yea. There was no VFD report. Police Chief Tim Barton presented the Police report. There were 9 calls for service, 95 stops made, 69 citations written, 26 warnings issued, 2 arrests, 3 agency assists, 0 MVA's, and 1 animal complaint. There is an issue on the Tahoe. Micah will need to use hand signals. Myke Chandler presented the Municipal Court report. The court received a total of $9,041.80. The city will keep $5,175.53, and $3,866.27 will be remitted to the state. Council discussed and considered Spirit of Life's water bill. The church's water bill for the month was $1,217.65 due to a flooded old building. Someone vandalized the building and clogged the toilet. There was no report filed. After much discussion, there will be no reprieve on the bill, but the city will offer Spirit of Life a payment plan. Jack Brown presented the Superintendent's Report. A handout was given to all council members. Water leaks have been repaired at the meter valves at M&D, South C Ave, and at a residence on Hwy 59. The security lights at the booster stations have been repaired. The Greenwood Sewer Project is halfway complete. Jack stated they should make their deadline. Jenny Frederick presented the Secretary's report. The city's total account balances were $959,312.51. The balance sheets, profit and loss statements, adjustments for the month, and bank statements and reconciliations for all accounts were provided for review. The sales tax for the month was not available. Jenny Frederick presented the bills for approval. Travis Simon made a motion to approve paying the bills. Tim Wright seconded. All voted yea.
