A = Minutes Motion to accept the minutes made by Al Dourgarian and seconded by Carla Wojtal. Motion passed unanimously. 2. Financials a. Discussion and Consideration of the CCPD financial report. Att. B - Financials Crime Control & Prevention District January 13, 2025 Page 1 of 3 The financial report was reviewed by Bill Reaves and board members had discussion on current expenditures and expenditures expected prior to the next meeting. Chief. Jackson stated that the funds for two new police vehicles should be expended by the next meeting. Motion to accept the financial statement made by Phillip Mullen and seconded by Al Dourgarian. Motion passed unanimously. E. BANQUET PLANNING 1. Discuss format for the Police Appreciation Banquet scheduled for the week of May 12 = 18, 2025 a. Discuss date and venue for banquet b. Discuss guest list and attendees C. Discuss casino games format d. Discuss possible theme for event Board discussed issues related to the Police Appreciation Banquet. a. Bill Reaves discussed a new location, Studio E on the Denton square, as a possible venue. It was suggested that a 40's era theme be adopted to incorporate the regular casino night vibe of the event. The board liked this idea and Officers Williams and Harwell agreed that officers would like this as well. b. It was discussed that officers did not prefer to have citizens or Town government and staff at the event. The decision was made to limit the guest list to officers from Argyle PD and Argyle ISD and CCPD board members. C. Chief. Jackson put forth that National Police Week is May 11-18 and the board chose Saturday May 17 as the event date. d. The board discussed the possibility of assisting officers with the cost of costume rentals for the event. e. Al Dourgarian asked if the officers enjoyed the photo booth from last year's events and officers stated that they would like to see it there again. f. Officers Williams and Harwell were assigned the task of being a small ad hoc banquet committee to continue polling fellow officers about their preferences. 2. Discuss updated solicitation and donations letters and guidelines Board discussed that the solicitation letters will need to be updated to explicitly stipulate that no goods, services, or consideration would be provided by Argyle PD in exchange for donations during police week.
