Program None REPORTS Director's s Report 1 I Butler County Drug & Alcohol Advisory Board - January 21, 2025 Meeting Minutes SCA: Case MangementTreatimnt/Prevention Updates: The Center on Center update- The Center continues to be open three days a week from 1:00-7:00pm and membership has grown to over 130 individuals. The Center now offers weekly meetings including Refuge Recovery, a Professionals in Recovery meeting, an All Recovery meeting, and a Mothers/ Women in Recovery meeting. The center continues to work on the implementation of E-system to streamline membership applications, allow for electronic check-ins, and capture key demographic information as well as other information related to identified needs and interests. The iPads have been purchased and rolled out and staff volunteers have been trained. E-system will also be providing a training video for the system to help existing staff as well as future staff. A core group of staff volunteers did start and complete the Smart Recovery Facilitator Training. The trainings wrapped up in mid-December and the center will now be able to move forward with offering Smart Recovery meetings to individuals in recovery as well as groups for families/loved ones at some point. We initially started out with seven people but only four were able to complete the trainings due to work and medically constraints. The Smart Recovery trainers were SO pleased with commitment and passion ofthe group that they have agreed to allow the remaining three individuals to move forward and go through the trainings! Annual Provider Monitoring- We have started to schedule annual provider monitoring visits, as per. DDAP guidelines. The monitoring process typically includes all in-county contracted intervention, prevention, treatment, and treatment-related providers. XYZ Rate Setting Process for FY 2025-26- The rate setting process for all non-hospital and halfway houses providers will roll out at the end of. January. Our state-wide organization secured the services of certified public accountants, The Binkley Kanavy Group, LLC, to review the rate setting process including all documents. Once DDAP reviews and approves the final product, we will be able to start the rate setting process. We will again work as a region and form smaller committees to review multiple provider packets. County Overdose update- We did reach out to the coroner's S office for confirmed overdose data for 2024 but we have not received any information back yet. Based upon data we requested in December as well as recent information received from the D.A.'s Office and County Detectives, there have been at least 41 overdose deaths for 2024. The final confirmed number may be higher, depending upon the number of pending cases that have been resolved. Department ofl Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) Updates: Request for additional funding needed for state fiscal year 2024-25 update- As discussed during the November meeting, at the beginning ofNovember DDAP notified all SCA's that they were accepting requests for additional funding needed for state FY 2024-25. Funding could be requested for the expansion of recovery support services, harm reduction services, and funding needed to sustain treatment services for the remainder of the state fiscal year. We submitted a request for additional funding at the end of November. Our request included additional funding for treatment services in the amount of $560,000.00 and additional 2 Butler County Drug & Alcohol Advisory Board - January 21, 2025 Meeting Minutes funding to support the Housing & Housing focused CM Services Program in the amount of $116,500.00. To date, we have not received correspondence from DDAP related to our request. We have been told that their fiscal department is currently reviewing December SCA invoices and completing close-outs in order to determine the total amount of funds available. New Subsequent Available Funds (SAF's) will be issued sometime in February for the additional funds awarded. State Updates: February 4th Budget Proposal-Governor Shapiro- On February 4th, 2 the governor will be presenting his draft budget for FY 2025-2026. We have learned that the state is looking at a $3 billion dollar deficit SO our statewide organization will continue to closely monitor things moving forward. Financial Report Bill Kepple reviewed the allocations and expenditures through December 31, 2024. Case Manager Report Tracey Hendrix reviewed the statistics for the Monthly Assessment Services, the Information/Referral Services (IRS), and the Client Location graph for the month of December 2024. She also reviewed the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Second Quarter Assessment Statistics, Drug of Choice Statistics, Referrals, and the Client Location Graph. Prevention Report Lisa Gill gave an overview of upcoming Drug & Alcohol prevention events and trainings. She reviewed the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Second Quarter Prevention Service Data: including the Prevention/'ntervention: Number of Services, Number of Individuals Served, and the Number of Prevention Services by Location and by Age Group. Nominating Committee No report. PCCD Update Kristan Semmler reported there are fourteen (14) participants in the program. Two people are in long term treatmènt, two are in a halfway house, three are in partial, and the remaining individuals are in lower levels of treatment. Drug Treatment Court Update Donna reported there are currently thirteen (13) individuals participating in the program. Two people are in a halfway house, one is in inpatient, three are in intensive outpatient and five are in outpatient. Two people are in jail, pending either a violation hearing or further order of the court. There are at least two or three pending referrals to the program. Council Members' Concers/Comments/Amnouncements Shawn announced that Grace Abbruzzese is retiring at the end ofJanuary and thanked her on behalf ofthe Board.
