Councilmember Richard Parr made a motion to open the workshop. Councilmember Kim Wilmoth seconded the motion. ALL voted in favor. Motion carried. I. Old Business a. Girl Scout Troop 11845 - Veterans Park Usage Members from troop 11845 presented an proposal to host a car show in Veteran Park to raise money that will be used for projects in the park. b. Park Hours Councilmember Amada Farley would like to revisit the Park Hours. We are losing daylight hours the park could be open. Possibly try 5am to 11pm. C. Temporary Use/Living in Campers Attorney Doug Kidd brought forward an ordinance for review. d. Amend Peddlers License Ordinance The current 201 O ordinance was brought forward to see if any amendment were needed to the ordinance. e. EMI-Well #5 Chip McGehee with EMI reviewed the progress of well 5 and what steps could be taken to move forward with this well. He also discussed the Comprehensive Nutrient Optimization Plan. II. New Business a. DDA Presentation Aimee Beck presented the new schedule of meetings for the DDA, they would like to move their meetings to the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6pm. They also presented a calendar of events they would like to host this year. Scott Harper discussed with the group the DDA taking over the rentals of pavilions and city facilities. b. Speed Bumps on W Freeman Street and College Street Councilmember: Richard Parr discussed the possibility of speed bumps on W Freeman Street and College Street. C. Land Use Management Code Section 11.1.3(a) of the Land Use Management Code is up for amendment. This is the code that regulates the trash and refuse materials at properties. d. Department Head Update City Clerk updated the council on the public works, the library and City Hall. For the library, Julie has asked the council to consider changing the hours on Wednesday from 10-2 to 9-5. The Library, Public Works and the Water Clerk positions have all been filled. Chief Anderson updated the council on the police department. His open TAC position has also been filled. e. City Hall HVAC System The Heating system at City Hall is down and will need to be replaced. III. Matters from Mayor & Council IV. Adjournment Mayor Richard Presley asked for a motion to adjourn the workshop. Councilmember Richard Parr made a motion to adjourn the workshop.
