DALTON GEORGIA AIRPORT AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES JANUARY 28, 2025 DALTON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT Welcome and Call to Order: Chairman Morgan called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM. A quorum was present. Present were: Airport Authority members Dany Morgan, Luis Prieto, Earl Boyd, Benny Dunn, and Chester Clark. Also present were Airport Manager Andrew Wiersma, Airport Liaison Nicky Lama, City Administrator Andrew Parker, Finance Director Cindy Jackson, Airport Secretary Kimberley Witherow, and guest Larry Zuspan. Approval of Agenda: On motion by Benny Dunn, second by Chester Clark, the agenda was approved. All were in favor. Minutes: On motion by Chester Clark, second by Luis Prieto, the November 12, 2024 minutes were approved. All were in favor. Public Commentary: There were no public comments. Financial Reports: Cindy Jackson presented the airport financial reports ending November 30, 2024. On motion by Chester Clark, second by Luis Prieto, the Authority accepted the financial reports into the minutes. Cindy stated in would be March before she would have the year-end reports. Ground Lease Review: Andrew Wiersma reported the TRCC lease increased to 2 acres and the Exhibit A's have been completed. This would add $50,000 revenue to the airport. The lease amendment for Dalton Aircraft would be 6.5 acres and this would release the Milner hangar. The city attorney is working on the Home Rule Amendment ordinance for allowing leases longer than 5 years. Chairman Morgan asked Andrew to send a thank you letter to our local delegation for their help in getting the airport funding.
